Today, we are looking at two incredible options currently sitting on our lot: a 2025 Ford F-150 King Ranch and a 2026 Ford F-150 Lariat. There is only about a thousand dollars separating these two beauties, with the loaded King Ranch priced around $66,000 and the basically brand new Lariat sitting at $64,900. The King Ranch has about 6,000 miles on it, while the Lariat has just under 200 miles. Let us dive into what really sets these two apart so you can decide where to spend your money.
Exterior Details and Styling
When you look at the front of these trucks, the aesthetic differences jump right out at you. The King Ranch embraces a classic look with an upgraded hood, plenty of chrome, beautiful two-tone paint, and that signature bronze in the grille. We even upgraded the tires on this King Ranch to make it pop on those chrome 20-inch wheels. On the flip side, the Lariat features the black appearance package, meaning everything is blacked out for a much sportier, aggressive vibe, sitting on black 20-inch wheels with fixed running boards.
Tailgates and Truck Beds
The utility on the back end varies quite a bit between the two. The King Ranch features the highly sought-after power up and down tailgate, complete with a two-piece design, plus a built-in 2.0-kilowatt Pro Power onboard generator. You can even raise and lower the tailgate directly from your key fob. The Lariat gives you a standard slow-lower tailgate and standard plugs without the generator, but it makes up for it by offering the harder-to-find six-and-a-half-foot bed, whereas the King Ranch is typically only found with the standard shorter bed.

Under the hood is where things get really interesting for truck buyers. In 2025 and 2026, the King Ranch only comes with either the 3.5 EcoBoost, which this one has, or the Power Boost. If you want the legendary 5.0 Coyote V8, you have to go with a trim like the Lariat. The 2026 Lariat we have right now features that exact 5.0 V8 paired with the six-and-a-half-foot bed, making it one of the most highly requested combinations on the market today.
