It’s no secret that heavy-duty trucks are in high demand right now. But some trims are nearly impossible to find. We’re talking about the elusive "unicorns" of the truck world.

Today, we are thrilled to showcase one of the hardest trucks to get your hands on right now: a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali Ultimate Dually (DRW).

Getting a standard Denali Ultimate is tough enough, but finding the Dually variant is a real challenge. These are the trucks demanded by guys towing heavy loads—big campers, horse trailers, or race haulers. They want that max towing capability paired with top-tier luxury.

We managed to secure one, but we didn't leave it stock. We gave this beast a full custom treatment designed for the street and heavy towing.

Flipping the Script: Lowered, Not Lifted

The trend in the truck world is often to lift them to the sky. But for serious towing rigs, that’s not always practical.

For this build, we went the opposite direction. We lowered this 3500 Dually 2.5 inches in the front and rear.

Why lower a dually? It’s all about functionality for the guys using these trucks for what they were meant to do. A lowered truck offers a lower center of gravity, providing significantly better stability when towing heavy loads. It also gives the truck an aggressive, planted street stance that looks incredible.

The Custom Aesthetic: Blacked Out and Stanced

To match the new aggressive stance, we had to upgrade the rolling stock. We fitted the truck with a massive set of 22-inch Hostile wheels wrapped in low-profile street tires. The rear offset with that stretched tire look makes the truck pop.

We didn't stop at wheels and suspension. We gave the entire truck the "murdered out" treatment:

  • Color-Matched Flares: We painted the wheel arches to match the body color.

  • Smoked Lighting: The marker lights integrated into the fender flares were smoked out for a stealthy look.

  • Blacked-Out Grille: We removed the stock "Vader chrome" grille and painted it black to match the rest of the front end.

  • Emblem Delete: All logos and badging were blacked out.

  • Protection: A clear bra wrap was applied to the front end to protect that premium paint job.

We also added large mud flaps in the rear to stay compliant with state safety inspections due to the wide stance of the new wheels.

Denali Ultimate Luxury and Capability

Underneath the custom exterior, this is still the pinnacle of GMC luxury and power. It’s powered by the 6.6L Duramax Diesel, capable of towing up to ~31,000 lbs via gooseneck/5th wheel, or around ~20,000 lbs with conventional towing. It also features the MultiPro tailgate with the built-in Kicker audio system and the 5th-wheel prep package.

The interior is exactly what you expect from the "Ultimate" trim:

  • Full-grain leather massaging seats (heated and cooled).

  • Suede headliner and sunroof.

  • Heads-up display and rear camera mirror.

  • The signature topographical map designs etched into the wood grain trim and seat backs.

We also added a few interior functional upgrades, including a center console safe for securing valuables and an under-seat rear cargo organizer that doubles as lockable storage for rifles or shotguns.
