If you want to help another car get a jump start, you just need jumper cables and a vehicle that runs. These easy steps will walk you through it.

First, the running car should be turned off. Pop the hoods to hook up the four jumper cable ends. The positive ends go on both batteries' positive terminals. The same goes for the negative ends. Start the working car's engine as soon as the cables are in place. Give it about two minutes for the engine to run before you try to get the dead car's engine to turn over. You might have to turn the key more than once. If it does turn on, you can take off the cables. Keep the engine on for at least 20 minutes to get a charge.

The service team at Mark Martin Motors should be your first place to go for help with your battery.
